Project E1134
Cité internationale de la langue française
A museum fit-out for the Cité internationale de la langue française: 40 lights, each designed as an individual piece for its place in the building.
The brief
Lights from 1m to 6m long, spread through the museum, carrying speakers and lamps that can be redirected as the displays change.
What we did
Each light was designed as an individual piece, so speakers and lamps can be directed through 350 degrees. Worst-case load scenarios were set for each light category, with stresses and fixings checked against them.
Outcome
Design completed for all 40 lights across the museum.
